i never wanted to be a pussy

For a long time, I didn’t think much about it.
I used the phrase like everyone else — don’t be a pussy, such a pussy — without questioning what it really meant.
Even though I have one, I never wanted to be one. - Which is absolutely WILD!

When I finally started paying attention, I realized how deep that conditioning goes.
How little we actually know about vulvas.
How absent they are in art, in education, in science — everywhere.

I’m Ronja Wolff, 32, a ceramic artist based in Berlin.

Before working with clay, I spent several years as a social worker — fast-paced, intense, and often emotionally demanding. When I eventually needed a break, I went abroad, took one ceramics class and ended up making it my whole personality. Thanks to the wonderful Brenda and Tamsyn Ellish, I got a space to explore and learn as much as I wanted. A few years later we are here. I’m back in Berlin, suddenly I have a ceramics business and make vulvas & boobs for a living. Who would have thought…

So if you like what I do - I would love your support, because I guess I am now a starving artist :D

Send me those messages. I read every single one — with excitement and sometimes clay on my hands, but always with care.

P.S. If I’ve missed something, used excluding language, or could do better, please tell me. <3
